Indications: 1. For patients on tube feeding (without metabolic disorders), for patients with strokes, traumas, burns, for patients after cranio-facial surgical procedures and in the postoperative period. It could be combined with parenteral nutrition. When emptying of the gastrointestinal tract should be delayed the fiber free formula is used – “Nutrical-fiber free”. 2. For patients with gastrointestinal disorders: pyloric stenosis, ulcer disease, stenosis of the cardia, chronic enteritis, and enterocolitis, chronic ulcerative colitis, food allergy and intolerance. In case of gluten intolerance the gluten free formula is used – “Nutrical-gluten free”. In cases of lactose intolerance the lactose free formula is used- “Nutrical-lactose free”. 3. For patients requiring positive nitrogen balance, i.e. with anorexia or in the convalescence period. Protein: Nutrical is made from milk, egg, soy and other vegetable proteins of high biological value - protein efficiency ratio (FAO/WHO) = 2.8. The gluten free formula contains no gluten. Fat in Nutrical comes from milk, egg and plant sources and contain mainly short- and medium-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (including essential fatty acids). It is a low cholesterol product - 300 mg cholesterol/100 g product. Carbohydrates are mainly mono- and disaccharides. Nutrical contains 2-2.5 % fiber. In the fiber free formula fiber content is reduced to a minimum. Vitamin and mineral composition is adjusted to meet the increased daily energy demands of patients with the above mentioned health disorders. Nutrical is enriched with Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Lactobacillus acidophilus lyophilisate - 4.1010 bacteria per 100 g product.

Dose and Usage

To be adjusted to meet the patient's daily protein and energy requirements. 100 g Nutrical contains 40 g protein (energy value - 480 kcal); a heaped tablespoonful (20g) contains 8 g protein (96 kcal). When a patient is fed on Nutrical only the daily dose should be divided in 4 servings. If a patient is fed on Nutrical for a period longer than 10 days pancreatic enzymes should be added to the therapy. Recommended diluents are water, saline, fruit and vegetable juices and nectars, meat and vegetable bouillons, milk. If the product is diluted as recommended the solute load of the liquid is about 250-350 mOsm/l. After dilution the product can be kept refrigerated up to 12 hours. Packing: 500 g and 65 g “Nutrical - gluten free” - in cases of gluten intolerance “Nutrical - lactose free” - incases of lactose intolerance “Nutrical - absolute” - for complete absorption neutral, chocolate, raspberry and strawberry flavored.
