INDICATIONS: 1. For patients with thermic traumas that require high quantities of proteins and take-in of proteins with high efficiency ratio (Nutrical Combustal® I). 2. For patients with thermic traumas and excretion disturbances that require decrease in the end products of protein metabolism (Nutrical Combustal® II). 3. For both groups of patients, if oral feeding is disturbed or impossible, NC I and NC II can be applied with abdominal or duodenal feeding tubes. 4. After huge loss of body weight in the period of recovery. 5. For overall nutrition quality improvement - for patients in the convalescence period, anorexia etc., as a food supplement. PROTEINS: The protein of Nutrical Combustal is of extremely high biological value - protein efficiency ratio - PER(FAO/WHO) = 2.82. The ratio of essential to non-essential amino acids is 42.0 : 58.0 . Through applying mathematical methods, the content of amino acids is well balanced in accordance with the pathology of each case. This makes it possible to achieve high levels of body mass gain per each gram protein taken in, which is of vital importance for patients that have lost body tissues, have negative nitrogenic balance and nutrition problems.

High-quality stuffs taken from milk, eggs and plants (including soya protein concentrate), vitamin and mineral mixtures, allowed stabilizers, flavorings and Lactobacillusbacteria group lyophilisates. The product is offered in two forms with different content of protein - Nutrical Combustal® I /NC I/ and Nutrical Combustal® II /NC II/.

FATS: Fat in Nutrical Combustal also comes from milk, egg and plant sources and contains mainly short- and medium-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids, including essential fatty acids. Nutrical Combustal provides for supplying with fat soluble vitamins and their resorbtion with minimum aterogenic effect. It is a low cholesterol product - 300mg cholesterol / 100 g product. CARBOHYDRATES: The carbohydrates in Nutrical Combustal are mainly efficiently utilized mono- and disaccharides. The product contains about 2% fiber that ensures moderate passage.

MINERALS AND VITAMINS: Mineral and vitamin composition is adjusted to the specific needs of patients with serious disorders in the water-electrolyte and in the base-acid balance in order to help them in their recovery period. The product characterizes with low quantities of potassium and high quantities of calcium and vitamin C. Nutrical Combustal® is enriched with Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Lactobacillus acidophilus - 4.10 10 bacteria per 100g product.

Dose and Usage

The dosage is adjusted to daily and energy balance of each patient. For example: for patients with massive thermic traumas and old patients with excretion disorders that require 1 g protein per 1 kg body weight daily, the daily dose of Nutrical Combustal II should be up to 200g (3 packages of 65 g) during the first 2-3 days of the recovery period. After that Nutrical Combustal I is recommended, and the daily dose should provide for taking in 1,5-2 to 3 g protein per kg body weight. As the nutrition regimen returns to normal the daily take-in of Nutrical Combustal should be considered and adjusted to maintaining the protein balance. USAGE: Add one tablespoonful of Nutrical Combustal to 70 – 80 ml diluent. Recommended diluents are water, fruit and vegetable nectars and juices, chicken, beef and vegetable bouillons and milk. Chose Nutrical Combustal neutral, chocolate, raspberry or strawberry according to individual taste and needs. Juice and nectar supply additionally 30-60 g carbohydrates (125-250 kcal) per 300 ml. In cases of increased energy demands milk is recommended as diluent – 300 ml non-fat milk contains 10.5 g protein and 15 g carbohydrates (108 kcal). Nutrical Combustal can be taken in with abdominal or duodenal feeding tube.
