L-Carnitine

For optimizing the fat metabolism.

  • Facilitates the transmembrane transport of the fatty acids into the cells.
  • Supplies substrate for the beta-oxidation of the fatty acids.
  • Suitable for patients with metabolic syndrome.
  • For athlets, practicing strength and/or endurance sports.

The carnitine is a substance, responsible for the transport of long-chain fatty acids through the mitochondrial membrane of the cell. It supplies substrate (fatty acids) for the beta-oxidation and so it provides energy production into the mitochondrial matrix of the cells, especially into the skeletal muscle and myocardial cells. As a result it increases the physical endurance of the organism.

The carnitine is synthesized from the amino acids lysine and methionine in the liver and kidneys. The human body contains about 20-25 g L-carnitine, stored into skeletal and heart muscle. The average human receives 10-100 mg carnitine daily with the food, which in turn is reabsorbed in the gastrointestinal tract by using specific transport machinery. But the real needs of the organism are greater and an additional quantity of carnitine is synthesized in the body. In some conditions, including increased physical activity, the needs can exceed the daily supply, which can be compensated by using L-carnitine as a food supplement.

  • Food supplement, affecting the fat metabolism.
  • Increases the fat decomposition’s intensity into organism’s fat depots.
  • Affects the metabolism in the skeletal muscle cells and in the heart muscle.
  • Assists the transport of long-chain fatty acids through the mitochondrial membrane and the following energy release.
  • Increases the physical endurance of the organism.
  • Suitable for people, subject of systematic physical workloads, especially for sportsmen, practicing the endurance sports.
  • Suitable for people with overweight or light forms of obesity.

Cautions: Do not exceed the recommended daily dose! The indications of application to be consulted with a doctor! For period of pregnancy or lactation to be taken after consultation with a doctor!

Adverse effects: Not observed.
