Nutridial

Nutridial contains high quality ingredients from plant, egg and milk sources, mineral and vitamin mixtures, permitted sweeteners and flavorings.

The proteins in Nutridial are of high biological value - PER (FAO/WHO) = 2.8. It is enriched with branched chain amino acids (such as Valine, Leucine, Isoleucine) and with Arginine, Tyrosine and Histidine. Fats contain mainly short- and medium-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids. Nutridial is a low cholesterol product - 300 mg cholesterol per 100 g product. The carbohydrates are predominantly mono- and disaccharides. The vitamin composition is adjusted to meet the daily demands and the dietary restrictions on vitamin C and vitamin A intake. Neutral, chocolate, strawberry and raspberry flavored.

Indications: Patients with chronic renal failure (on hemo- or peritoneal dialysis), patients with malnutrition, diagnosed on the basis of clinical, biochemical (serum albumin level below 40 g/l, total protein below 65 g/l) and anthropometric tests (body weight reduced by 5% for two months), for patients in the convalescence period following severe inflammatory diseases (sepsis after catheterisation) and in the postoperative period.

Dose and Usage

The dose is adjusted to meet the daily protein and energy demands. The following procedure is recommended: 1.evaluation of the patient's protein intake (the urea-kinetic modeling is used to estimate the protein intake on the basis of calculations related to urea concentration prior to or after dialysis). Individual dietary charts can also be used to calculate protein intake. Maintenance hemodialysis patients usually require 1.2-1.3 g protein / kg daily. If the daily protein intake is about 0.9 g / protein / kg "Nutridial" can supply additionally 0.3 g protein / kg. In such cases about 0.5 g Nutridial / kg bogy weight should be given, divided into 2 doses. Clinical studies suggest that Nutridial should be taken for 3 months with a 1-month pause.

Usage: Add 1 tablespoonful of Nutridial to 70-80 ml diluent. Recommended diluents are water, saline, fruit and vegetable juices, meat (chicken and beef) and vegetable bouillons. Choose diluent according to individual taste and needs. Juice and nectar supply additionally 30-60 g carbohydrates (125-259 kcal) per 300 ml. In cases of increased energy demands milk is recommended as diluent - 300 ml non fat milk contains 10.5 g protein and 15 g carbohydrates (108 kcal).
